In Women’s Hope Center, we not only try to support women who are seeking for help after they have chosen to give birth to their babies, but we also endeavor to reach out to women who are still abortion-vulnerable, whether they are choosing abortion or an abortion is being forced upon them.
Our first contact with women in desperate need of help is often through our crisis pregnancy counselor. Many frightened women and young girls who have no one to ask for help will reach out to our counselor via the confidential, anonymous online chat solely for clients.
We have found that women are hesitant to reach out during pregnancy or when they have a well founded fear of potential pregnancy.
suicidal contact us. Many are teenagers. They may be seeking information on abortion, thinking that that is her only option. She may be running from family who are forcing an abortion. She may have just found out that she is pregnant but is already in a developed pregnancy and needing shelter.
Hence, recognizing the gravity of these issues, we try to provide mental and emotional support for vulnerable women and families by providing counseling sessions. Furthermore, we try to provide them with financial support through our House of Hope program and various other means. Some of the other services that we provide are post-abortion counseling, sexual integrity counseling and referrals to other appropriate service sectors such as shelters for victims of domestic abuse.
We understand that when a woman or a family is in an unsafe, sexually exploitative situation, the knowledge that someone is there for her tends to provide just the courage she needs to get through the hardship; and so, our hope is that through our services women and families
in our community would be able to receive the
necessary support and find their hope.
